India, July 17 -- A 21-year-old man was killed and two others were injured after a crane collapsed at a construction site in Mira Road in Maharashtra's Thane district on Thursday evening, police said. The crane was being used for the construction of a parking tower in the Garden City area, police said. Around 8.15pm, the crane collapsed and fell on Mohammed Khokar, who was parking his two-wheeler. Locals rushed Khokar to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police said they have registered a case and are trying to ascertain the cause of the incident. "We are trying to locate the operator of the crane," senior police inspector Rahulkumar Patil said.htc
