India, April 3 -- Kevin Pietersen has given his early prediction about which teams will make it to the playoffs in the Indian Premier League 2026. He believes four teams have the edge after the first round of games.

Taking to X, Pietersen wrote, "Having watched the first round of matches in the IPL this season, as it stands, just on observations, this could be the top 4. MI, DC, RR, PUNJAB. This can all change with injuries etc, but that's how I see it atm." His assessment highlights Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Punjab Kings as early favourites to make the final four.
