'The next Anthropic isn't gonna come out of India': US-based founder blames Indian banks
India, Aug. 12 -- An Indian entrepreneur based in the United States has compared the banking systems of the two countries, claiming that the US comes out on top due to American banks' willingness to take calculated risks. Shreyans Jain, co-founder of Y Combinator-backed Manicule, shared an X post contrasting the two countries from the perspective of a borrower.
Jain claimed that in the US, borrowers with a decent credit score and relatively short credit history can access substantial loans. In India, on the other hand, banks demand extensive documentation and remain highly risk-averse even when the borrower has strong finances.
