India, Aug. 5 -- Amid the ongoing row over the temporary removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook reel, the Parliamentary standing committee on communications and information technology on Tuesday warned that if Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg doesn't apologise within three days, then he may lose 'immunity'.

The warning comes just a day after Nishikant Dubey, the chairman of the panel, said that Zuckerberg should apologise for the temporary blockade on PM Modi's reel. He also warned that Meta may lose "safe harbour" protection available to intermediaries under Section 79 of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
