Goa, July 21 -- High drama unfolded during Question Hour on the first day of the Goa Legislative Assembly's Monsoon Session, as Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao raised a Point of Order over a coal-related starred question being downgraded to unstarred, sparking strong protests from the Opposition benches.
Alemao accused the government of trying to sidestep scrutiny over a matter involving an alleged Rs.3,000+ crore coal scam linked to Adani and Jindal groups. "Why was a question of such public importance downgraded? This is nothing short of a murder of democracy," Alemao asserted, demanding immediate answers from the treasury benches.
