Goa, May 17 -- An FIR has been registered against former cricketer-turned-actor Yograj Singh in Chandigarh over alleged anti-women remarks made in the web series Lukkhe. The complaint, filed on May 14 by advocates Ujjwal Bhasin and Jatin Verma, alleged that a viral scene from the series carried misogynistic remarks that insulted working women and hurt public sentiments. Following the FIR, Yograj has approached the court seeking anticipatory bail.

According to reports, Yograj's counsel argued before the court that the controversial dialogue was part of a scripted performance and that the actor was contractually bound to portray the character as written. The court has issued notices to the state government and sought its response by May 20...
