Goa, Aug. 6 -- A 30-year-old woman's allegation of being sexually assaulted aboard a moving train has been found to be fabricated, following a detailed investigation by the Government Railway Police (GRP). Authorities are now initiating the process to close the case.
The incident came to light on July 13 when Dadar GRP received an alert from a public hospital in Mumbai regarding a woman admitted with injuries to her private parts. When questioned, the woman claimed she had travelled from Prayagraj to Mumbai on the Gorakhpur Express and was assaulted by an unknown man while using the washroom in the general coach.
