Goa, Aug. 5 -- Public Works Department Minister Sudin Dhavalikar has said that he is ready to take action to recover the Rs.4,500 crore in green cess reportedly due to the Goa government, provided the amount is confirmed. Speaking on the matter, Dhavalikar clarified that the green cess on coal is managed by the Finance Department.
"If Rs.4,500 crore is due to Goa, I will be happy to recover this money," he stated, adding that he would soon take up the issue with the state's Finance Minister.
