Goa, May 12 -- National Testing Agency has officially cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3 following serious allegations of a question paper leak and examination irregularities. The decision was announced on May 12 after growing concerns over the integrity and transparency of the country's biggest medical entrance exam.

According to the NTA, the cancellation was made after reviewing inputs from central agencies and findings shared by law enforcement authorities. The agency stated that the move was necessary to maintain fairness and public trust in the national examination system. The exam will now be conducted again on fresh dates, which will be announced separately.
