Goa, Oct. 21 -- Surprise! The roof of the Government Primary School in Taleigao is being replaced barely five months after its installation. The thin tin sheet roof, laid in May 2025, reportedly created unbearable noise during the monsoon, disrupting classes. To fix the issue, workers are now replacing it during the Diwali break with a new roof featuring padding to reduce rain noise. Recent heavy showers on Sunday and Monday also soaked classroom furniture and materials, adding urgency to the repairs.
