Goa, Aug. 10 -- WhatsApp users across several countries reported disruptions on Monday, with the outage primarily affecting the sharing of photos, videos, stickers, GIFs and other multimedia content.

According to outage-tracking platform Downdetector, reports of problems began emerging early Monday. Around 41% of reported issues were related to messaging, 40% to the WhatsApp app and 13% to notifications.

While text messages continued to work for some users, many reported difficulties uploading and sending multimedia files. Photos and videos were reportedly taking longer than usual to send or remained stuck during the upload process.
