Goa, June 16 -- Engineering students in Goa have urged the state government to revise the academic calendar, citing health concerns and inadequate vacation time.A group of students submitted a representation to Fartoda MLA Vijay Sardesai, highlighting that engineering courses involve extensive workshop and laboratory sessions where students must wear protective gear and work for long hours under high-temperature and uncomfortable conditions. They also pointed out that, unlike engineering colleges in several other states, institutions in Goa provide limited vacation before the start of the new academic year, leaving insufficient time for rest and preparation.
