Warren Alemao Questions River Sal Desilting Work, Seeks Probe into Crores Spent
South Goa, Oct. 9 -- Warren Alemao has raised concerns over the continued pollution of River Sal, questioning the effectiveness of desilting work undertaken by Camilson company despite substantial public expenditure.
Addressing the media, Alemao said three tenders had been floated before the monsoon for work related to the river, but there had been no visible improvement in its condition.
Questioning the expenditure of crores of rupees in the name of River Sal, he asked why pollution continued to be a major concern despite the work undertaken to address the problem.
