Verna Students Gain Hands-On Farming Experience at Paddy Plantation Drive in Arlem
Goa, July 20 -- Around 50 students from Fr. Angel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna, participated in a paddy cultivation activity at Arlem on Monday, gaining firsthand experience of Goa's traditional farming practices.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Simon D'Silva and was attended by Margao Municipal Councillor Camilo Barreto.
During the activity, the students planted paddy seedlings and learned about the various stages of rice cultivation. They expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to work in the fields, saying the experience gave them a deeper understanding of the hard work undertaken by farmers and the importance of preserving Goa's agricultural heritage.
