Goa, Aug. 19 -- Vasco witnessed fresh political tension after a late-night incident near Hotel Kingston Plaza, where Vasco police returning from medical duty were attacked by a group of individuals.

Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam confirmed that seven persons had obstructed the road, and the situation escalated when two of the accused, along with others, assaulted Police Constable Naresh Gaikwad and intervening officers. PCR staff were also manhandled during the scuffle, which was captured on a mobile phone. Two individuals were arrested under Vasco Police Station Crime No. 64/2025, booked under Sections 121, 132, 115(2), 352, 189 read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
