Goa, April 20 -- Vasco MLA Krishna V. Salkar has strongly condemned recent remarks made about the Patron Saint, stating that such comments are unwarranted and have the potential to disturb social harmony in Goa.
Salkar emphasised that Goa has long upheld a tradition of communal harmony, where people of all religions coexist with mutual respect. He warned that statements aimed at creating division among communities will not be tolerated.
The MLA further informed that he has spoken to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant regarding the issue. According to Salkar, the Chief Minister has assured that immediate and appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for the remarks.
