Goa, May 27 -- Krishna Salkar chaired a joint pre-monsoon preparedness meeting along with Mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit and representatives from various government departments to review emergency response plans ahead of the monsoon season.

During the meeting, officials discussed measures to tackle potential emergencies and disasters during heavy rains. Authorities also planned to appoint a nodal officer and establish a dedicated control room to coordinate responses to monsoon-related situations.

The Health Department was directed to immediately begin preventive measures to control the possible outbreak of vector-borne diseases during the rainy season.
