India, April 7 -- As Christians across Goa prepare for post-Easter house blessings, the youth of a parish in Valpoi are continuing a unique and meaningful tradition that has endured for over a decade.
On the eve of Easter Sunday, parish youth gather at a nearby natural spring to collect fresh water in vessels. This water is later used as holy water to bless homes and the faithful attending Mass.
The tradition began in 2013 as an initiative of youth member Ashley Pinho and has since been carried forward each year with dedication. This year, youth members Jugal, Jesley, and Justine, along with the new parish priest, Father Winston Barboza, continued the practice.
