Goa, July 27 -- The United Tribals Associations Alliance (UTAA) has announced a statewide agitation demanding the immediate implementation of political reservation for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in Goa. The campaign will culminate in a "Chalo Panaji" rally on August 13, 2026, marking one year since the relevant legislation was notified in the Gazette of India.

UTAA said the Act is yet to come into force because the Central Government has not issued the required commencement notification. A
