Goa, June 21 -- New Zealand strengthened their position in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 standings after registering a commanding 253-run victory over England in the second Test at Kennington Oval, London. Despite the emphatic win, the Black Caps remain fourth in the table due to percentage points (PCT), level with Sri Lanka at 66.67%.

The Kiwis have now played five matches in the current WTC cycle, winning three, losing one and drawing one. Their latest triumph helped them move to 40 points, although they still trail table-toppers Australia, who continue to dominate the standings with a PCT of 87.50%.
