Goa, Aug. 6 -- The issue of unregulated tourism activities in Sao Tome and Fontainhas, the Latin Quarters of Panjim, was raised by Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai in the State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday,

During Zero Hour, Sardesai said that there is fear and anxiety in the minds of residents of Sao Tome and Fontainhas regarding unchecked tourist nuisance, rising lawlessness and slow erosion of heritage. He said that during his Tiswadi outreach programme held ahead of the Assembly session, the residents of Sao Tome and Fontainhas met him and narrated their problems.
