Goa, Oct. 29 -- Two major fires sparked panic in Vasco, affecting the Sunday Market and a car accessories shop behind Tilak Maidan Stadium. The shop was gutted, and two parked vehicles sustained damage. Firefighters battled the flames while police managed the situation. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Vasco MLA Daji Salkar, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, the South Goa Collector and Mamlatdar visited the sites to assess the situation. A short circuit is suspected to have caused the shop fire, but the exact cause remains unknown. The cause of the market fire was not specified.
