Goa, April 16 -- A ground collision between two aircraft at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi on Thursday led to damage to both planes after a SpiceJet aircraft struck a stationary Akasa Air aircraft while taxiing. The incident took place on the taxiway, where the wings of the two planes came into contact, forcing both to be grounded for detailed inspection.

According to a SpiceJet spokesperson, a Boeing 737-700 aircraft was involved in the incident during taxiing on April 16. The aircraft's right winglet reportedly hit the left-hand horizontal stabiliser of another aircraft belonging to a different airline. Following the collision, the SpiceJet aircraft was grounded in Delhi for technical assessment.
