Goa, Nov. 4 -- The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday rejected the bail application of former district judge Giribala Singh in connection with the alleged suicide of her 23-year-old daughter-in-law, Twisha Sharma. The court declined to grant relief, citing the seriousness of the allegations and the fact that the investigation into the case is still underway.

The bail plea was rejected by a single bench of Justice Ajay Kumar Nirankari after hearing arguments from both the defence and prosecution. The arguments had concluded on October 26, while the detailed 23-page order was uploaded by the High Court on Wednesday evening.
