Goa, July 24 -- US President Donald Trump has announced fresh double-digit tariffs on imports from more than 60 of America's trading partners, including India, China, the United Kingdom and Japan, citing concerns over the inadequate enforcement of laws against goods produced through forced labour.

Under the new measures, import duties ranging between 10 per cent and 12.5 per cent will be imposed on affected countries. The White House said the move is intended to discourage the import of products allegedly linked to forced labour while encouraging the use of goods manufactured by American workers.
