Goa, June 26 -- The fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran has come under renewed pressure after US President Donald Trump accused Tehran of carrying out a drone attack on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump alleged that Iran launched four "One Way Attack Drones" at ships travelling through the crucial maritime route. According to him, one of the drones struck the upper deck of a large cargo vessel, while the remaining three were intercepted and destroyed by US forces.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran shot at least four One Way Attack Drones at Ships transversing the Strait of Hormuz," Trump wrote.
