Goa, Aug. 5 -- Traffic flow along the Belagavi-Goa Highway came to a halt after a section of the road on the Goa side of Anmod Ghat caved in due to heavy rainfall in the region.

The incident has caused major disruptions to vehicular movement, particularly affecting interstate travel and transportation. Local authorities have begun repair work on a war footing, with officials estimating that restoration will take 15 to 20 days.

Commuters have been advised to use alternative routes until the road is reopened. The administration is monitoring the situation closely and has assured that safety measures are in place to prevent further damage.
