Goa, Sept. 8 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) district president Abdur Rahim Bakshi has stirred controversy once again after allegedly threatening to pour acid into the mouth of a BJP legislator.
Bakshi made the remarks on Saturday evening during a protest rally in Malda, organised by the TMC against what it described as "atrocities on Bengali-speaking migrant workers" in other states.
In his fiery speech, Bakshi attacked BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh without naming him, in response to Ghosh's past comments in the assembly where he allegedly referred to Bengal's migrant workers as "Rohingyas" or "Bangladeshis."
"The one who shamelessly says that the 30 lakh migrant workers of Bengal working outside are not Bengalis but Rohingyas and Bangladeshis......
