Goa, May 2 -- A striped tiger has been found dead in the Aglot‑Sacorda area in Dharbandora, triggering alarm among environmentalists and local residents.

The carcass was discovered with its nails and teeth missing, fueling suspicions of poaching and prompting calls for a thorough investigation.

Environment activist Rajendra Kerkar questioned official claims that there are no tigers in Goa, pointing out that such deaths would not occur if tigers were truly absent from the region.
