Goa, June 9 -- Concerns have surfaced over the continued non-utilisation of a football ground developed under the Smart City Mission opposite Bal Bhavan in Campal, Panaji, despite the project having been completed nearly three years ago.

Raising the issue, CCP Ward 17 Councillor Jack Sukhija questioned why the state-of-the-art sports facility has not been opened for regular public use, even after substantial public funds were invested in its development.

According to Sukhija, the football ground, spread across approximately 40,000 square metres, has remained inaccessible to local players and residents since its completion, depriving the community of a valuable recreational and sporting asset.
