Goa, June 26 -- Vasco Police have registered a case against three individuals for allegedly cheating a resident of Baina by fraudulently obtaining gold ornaments worth Rs.8.78 lakh under the guise of offering a low-interest loan.
The accused have been identified as Safhan Khan, Shazia Sayed, and Sunil Chavan. According to the police complaint, the trio lured the victim by promising a loan at an attractive interest rate. However, once the gold was handed over as collateral, the accused reportedly failed to provide the promised loan and instead disappeared with the ornaments.
