Goa, Oct. 21 -- A 19-year-old man was arrested in Thrissur, Kerala, after his two-wheeler knocked down a 68-year-old woman while he tried to jump a traffic signal near Puthukad on National Highway 544 last week.

CCTV footage shows the accused, identified as Emmanuel, colliding with the senior citizen, Selin, as she tried to cross the road at around 8 am on Saturday. Emmanuel fled the scene, while bystanders rushed to help the injured woman.

Selin suffered a head injury and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Following the incident, police reviewed nearly 50 CCTVs to track the suspect.
