Goa, Aug. 1 -- Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane on Wednesday announced that the state government will soon publish a white paper outlining land conversions carried out across Goa.

Rane said the document will aim to bring transparency and accountability to the issue of land use changes, detailing data from his tenure as well as previous governments.

According to the minister, around 16 to 17 lakh square meters of land have been converted since he assumed charge of the TCP portfolio. In contrast, Rane pointed out that approximately 1.50 crore square meters were converted before his tenure.
