Goa, Aug. 7 -- Amid ongoing discussions about the relocation of the popular music festival Sunburn, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has clarified that the decision to host the event rests entirely with the organisers, as it is a privately managed affair.

Speaking to reporters, Khaunte stated, "Sunburn is a private event. Whether or not it is held in Goa is up to the organisers. The government does not need to intervene in such decisions."

The minister also emphasized that Goa is being consistently promoted through monthly initiatives aimed at regenerative tourism - a model that focuses on preserving local culture, environment, and community well-being.
