Goa, Aug. 29 -- Residents facing prolonged problems with non-functional streetlights and overgrown tree branches near electrical lines have received relief after the Electricity Department deployed a maintenance team to the affected area.

Workers trimmed the obstructing vegetation and repaired the faulty streetlights, addressing complaints that had remained unresolved for an extended period.

The intervention has brought relief to local residents, who welcomed the action and urged authorities to ensure regular maintenance to prevent similar electrical and lighting problems from recurring. The Goa Electricity Department has previously undertaken streetlight maintenance work across the state.
