Goa, Sept. 24 -- The NSS Unit of St. Andrew's Higher Secondary School, Vasco, in association with city councillor Shammi Salkar, organized an anti-plastic awareness drive to discourage the use of single-use plastic bags.

As part of the initiative, students visited the Vasco market, where they engaged with vendors and shoppers to highlight the harmful effects of plastic pollution on the environment. To promote sustainable practices, the team distributed free cloth bags and urged the public to adopt eco-friendly alternatives.

The campaign aimed to encourage environmental conservation and inspire the community to reduce their reliance on plastic, fostering a shift toward greener and more responsible living.
