MAPUSA: St Joseph's Educational Institute, Chandor, outplayed St Pius High School, Orlim, to move into the next round of Fr Peter SVD memorial football tournament played at the SVD Seminary ground.

St Joseph's Institute opened the scoring through Macklan Menezes in the 6th minute. Pius HS missed a chance to score in the 8th minute through Regan Goes. Soon, St Pius HS equalised through Welsh Fernandes in the 23rd minute. Just four minutes later, Erwin Figuerido netted 2-1 for St Joseph's Institute.
