Goa, July 30 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured the Goa Legislative Assembly that all sports associations that have submitted their utilisation certificates will receive their pending payments within the next two months.
The assurance came in response to Goa Forward Party MLA Vijai Sardesai, who raised concerns over significant outstanding dues, Rs.11.51 crore owed to the Goa Football Association (GFA) and Rs.60 lakh to the Goa Badminton Association.
Sawant acknowledged the delays and reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the state's sporting bodies, provided that the necessary documentation has been submitted.
