India, April 1 -- In a bid to curb rising incidents of illegal bullfights, a high-level coordination meeting was chaired by Egna Cleetus, District Magistrate of South Goa, and co-chaired by Santosh Dessai, Superintendent of Police (South).Goa Travel Guide

The meeting focused on strengthening inter-departmental coordination to tackle unlawful bullfighting activities across the district. Srinet Kothwale, Additional Collector-I, was also present.

Officials issued clear directions to Police Inspectors to take strict action against landowners where such events are being organised. Mamlatdars were instructed to provide detailed records and inventories of landowners to aid enforcement efforts.
