Goa, April 14 -- A quarterly review meeting of the Child Welfare Committee in South Goa focused on streamlining the adoption process and reducing case pendency, in line with guidelines issued by the Central Adoption Resource Authority.

The meeting was chaired by IAS officer Egna Cleetus, who emphasised the need for timely disposal of cases and expediting the process of declaring children legally free for adoption.

Officials also stressed the importance of stronger coordination among key agencies, including Matruchhaya, the District Child Protection Unit, and law enforcement authorities, to ensure a more efficient and transparent adoption system.
