Goa, July 15 -- Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk's indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar entered its 18th day on Wednesday, with growing concerns over his deteriorating health. He joined the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest on June 28, demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) 2026 examination.
Organisers claim Wangchuk has lost over 8.4 kg, is experiencing muscle loss and remains in significant pain. Despite repeated appeals, he has refused to end his fast, saying the government should initiate dialogue instead.
