Sonam Wangchuk Loses Over 7 Kg After 10 Days of Hunger Strike: CJP
Goa, July 8 -- Educator and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has reportedly lost more than seven kilograms after completing 10 days of an indefinite hunger strike at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, according to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). Doctors monitoring his condition said his weight has dropped to 59.4 kg, although his blood pressure, oxygen saturation and other vital signs remain stable. Wangchuk has acknowledged feeling tired but has vowed to continue the fast.
The protest supports the CJP's demand for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over alleged examination irregularities and paper leaks, including the cancellation and subsequent re-conduct of the NEET-UG examination.
