Goa, Aug. 12 -- The Congress Block of the Siolim Constituency has raised concerns over alleged substandard road work and poor-quality infrastructure in Assagao, calling for greater accountability and supervision by the authorities.

At a press conference held in Assagao, Congress members Parvati Nagvekar, Rajan Savllo Ghate, Chandan Mandrekar, Kapil Kishor Korgaonkar, Gajanan Tilve, Roshan Chodankar, Mocambo, Yogesh Govekar and Lawrence questioned the quality of ongoing road works and alleged a lack of coordination between various government departments.

The Congress leaders criticised the Public Works Department (PWD) and Electricity Department, alleging negligence and improper execution of works in the area.
