Goa, Aug. 26 -- Olympian Sift Kaur Samra delivered a sensational performance at the Asian Shooting Championships in Shymkent, clinching two gold medals in a single day , one in the individual 50m rifle 3 positions and another in the team event.

Samra, who holds the world record, shot a brilliant 459.2 in the final, surviving a tense finish against China's Yang Yujie, who fell short by just 0.4 points. Her dominance began early, as she qualified in first place with a score of 589.

In the team event, Samra (589), Ashi Chouksey (586) and Anjum Moudgil (578) combined for an aggregate of 1753, edging out Japan (1750) and South Korea.

The victory was Samra's fourth career gold at the Asian Championships, reaffirming her stature as one of Ind...
