Goa, Sept. 30 -- Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is scheduled to visit Goa on October 2, where he will address farmers and citizens at Ponda.

To enable people from across the state to participate in the programme through video conferencing, all panchayats and municipal offices will remain functional on the day.

The arrangement has been made to facilitate wider public participation in the minister's interaction with farmers and citizens.

Chouhan has in recent weeks stressed the importance of Centre-state coordination and time-bound implementation of agricultural initiatives. These include the Farmer ID and AgriStack programmes, aimed at strengthening digital systems and delivery mechanisms in the agriculture sector.
