Shiv Sena to Contest Goa Assembly Elections, Says MP Gajanan Kirtikar
Goa, June 17 -- Senior Shiv Sena leader and Mumbai Member of Parliament Gajanan Kirtikar has announced that the party intends to contest seats in the upcoming Goa Assembly elections, signalling its plans to expand its political presence in the state.
Speaking on the party's strategy, Kirtikar said Shiv Sena is prepared to take on the BJP-led government in Goa, alleging that despite the state's vast potential, it has not witnessed the level of development expected by its people.
The Shiv Sena leader also highlighted concerns relating to the welfare of Goa's Bhumiputras, claiming that many local residents feel they are being treated unfairly, particularly in matters of employment.
