Goa, Aug. 17 -- Ending days of intense political speculation, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla has formally resigned from the party and its active primary membership. In an official letter addressed to BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Poonawalla revealed that while personal and financial constraints initially prompted his decision, actions by "certain individuals" ultimately forced him to stand firm on his departure.
