Goa, Dec. 29 -- Operations at Sesa Vedanta's Codli iron ore mines were briefly disrupted on Monday after workers halted the transportation of e-auctioned ore in protest over wage issues. The workers alleged they were being paid only half their regular salary and demanded full payment from the company.

Following discussions with the mine management and assurances that their concerns would be addressed, the workers agreed to resume transport activities.

The workers have temporarily withdrawn their agitation until January 1 while they await a resolution to the wage dispute.
