Goa, Oct. 1 -- The arrest of self-styled godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has exposed a series of WhatsApp chats suggesting his alleged exploitation and harassment of young women students. The 62-year-old, accused of targeting at least 17 women, was taken into custody early Sunday from a hotel in Agra's Taj Ganj area after evading police for nearly two months.
According to investigators, the chats reveal disturbing attempts by Chaitanyananda to arrange sexual encounters. In one exchange, he reportedly wrote to a student about a "Dubai Sheikh" seeking a partner, repeatedly pressing her for suggestions and even inquiring about her classmates.
