Goa, Aug. 8 -- A state-level Raan Bhaji Festival was held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on Saturday, celebrating Goa's rich culinary tradition of using wild and lesser-known vegetables in local cuisine.

Several school students participated in the festival, preparing a wide variety of dishes using different forest vegetables. Many of the ingredients featured in the preparations are uncommon in everyday cooking, highlighting the diversity of Goa's traditional food culture.

The students presented their dishes in creative and attractive displays, drawing the attention of visitors at the festival. Their efforts showcased not only their culinary skills but also the importance of preserving knowledge about traditional ingredients and recipes.
